Domestic Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping at Timeout Bags UK. Following are the Terms and Conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Delivery Service Update

Please note that due to the current situation, there are significant impacts on Hermes and DPD's ability to maintain their usual service standard levels.  Please note that postal delays are highly likely at this current time, and are unavoidable.  This may be due to factors including self isolation, increasing demand on couriers and staffing levels, which may mean that resources are impacted through the delivery chain.  These couriers are continuing to offer their service to receive and deliver parcels, however there may be disruptions caused by the factors listed above in periods of extraordinary conditions. Please note that delivery times are not guaranteed. Please remember that our bags leave our premises in pristine condition, and that their journey to you is affected by third party couriers whose external operation and employee factors are beyond our control.

Please note, we are not responsible for delays to your delivery due to the current COVID-19 situation and we will not refund any deliveries that are delayed due to this.

Following are our standard Terms and Conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy, but in this instance may be affected by the Coronavirus extraordinary incident.

Shipping to Northern Ireland

We only ship parcels within the United Kindom, including Northern Ireland. Please note that the only shipping method available for Northern Ireland is via Hermes. If you select DPD at checkout your parcel will automatically be sent by Hermes so please take note of this. Hermes parcels will take up to 7 days to arrive to Northern Ireland due to shipping charges and delays due to COVID-19, so please bear with your Hermes courier.

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed and packed within 2-3 business days (excluding weekends, bank holidays and national holidays). We ship within the United Kingdom only.  If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed when you select your method of delivery at checkout. All charges reflect individual charges from the courier that you have selected:

All prices are governed by Hermes and DPD carriers. Prices are passed on to you the customer, we do not make any profit from UK standard postal charges.  

Collections by Hand

If you would like to collect your package by hand, we have a 'no contact collection' box in our grounds located at postcode: TN25 6NU. If you would like to select this option, please use code 'Ashforddelivers' at checkout to cancel any delivery charges and we will email you with your next working day collection details.  

Delivery Estimates

Delivery delays can occasionally occur and are beyond our control.  We will do our best to escalate any delivery delays to your property with your chosen courier, who will respond to us within 5 days following their investigation.  We do not refund any shipping costs due to delays caused by your chosen courier but will file claims on your behalf, which are up to the discretion of the courier company you selected. Safe Place delivery is not guaranteed by your chosen courier, and is up to the discretion of the driver. Please note that during periods of extreme weather (snow, gale force winds, ice etc), Hermes couriers will be delayed/affected, and this is out of our control.  During these periods, it is best to check your chosen courier's website for further details about how adverse weather conditions may affect your deliveries. If the carriers are unable to get to you, there will be a backlog of deliveries, so please bear with them.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will usually be active within 24 hours.


Please note all Products leave our Head Office in pristine condition.  Timeout Bags are not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier and Timeout Bags within 15 days of receiving your parcel, to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
